Saving up his little allowance money for over seven months, William planned to collect enough to treat the local police officers to a nice lunch so they did not have to worry about their meal for a day.

“William Evertz Jr. wanted to do random acts of kindness. One of his acts was to deliver lunch to the police officers in his community who keep him safe,” the Winslow Township Police Department wrote on their Facebook page when they learned of William’s plan.

Taking his saving to a local Winslow Township Subway in the suburbs of Philadelphia, William ordered a handful of sandwiches to deliver to the Winslow Township Police Department.

“William chose to buy lunch from his allowance from Subway because he wants the officers to be healthy,” the Winslow Township Police Department added in on their Facebook post.

Williams charitable acts do not stop there though, and he actually already has planned to donate clothes, school supplies, and toys to domestic violence shelters. On top of that, he also plans to donate food and supplies to local animal shelters.

Commended by the entire Winslow Township Police Department for his selflessness, William was honored by the department with a special shirt and badge to represent his bond with the police officers. William was even able to ride home in a police car with the sirens and lights on!

It is amazing to see a child as young as William already thinking so selflessly. His kindness is truly an inspiration to the rest of the world, and shows that even giving a little can go a long way in somebody else’s life.
