ARRESTED: Prominent NYC Attorney Charged With Felony Cruelty For BEATING DOWN Puppy

A prominent New York City area attorney is facing a charge of animal cruelty after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend’s Maltese puppy. The dog whose name was Snoopy was suffered from several broken ribs, a torn liver, and a lacerated kidney.

Snoopy was taken to an animal hospital where he, unfortunately, passed away from his injuries. He was only less than 1 year old. Police questioned and charged Anthony Pastor, 45, of Manhattan, New York City, with felony animal cruelty after his girlfriend called the police.

According to an arrest affidavit released by the New York Police Department, Pastor said he is not to blame for the incident:

“(The woman) picked her up and carried her into my apartment and she seemed fine. We stayed up until around 3 to 3:30 a.m. Snoopy was more outgoing when we met and her kids were saying she didn’t play with them anymore.”

A grand jury indicted Pastor on October 4, which is the day police visited him at his home to arrest him. He has posted a $5,000 dollar bond and is next scheduled to be in court November 30 for a status hearing.
