Life at the Carson Animal shelter is no cake walk to say and write the least. For one, the sheer smells and noise of the place gives some insight into the horrors that each and every dog locked away in their kennel runs have to endure everyday. There is no hope at the Carson Animal Shelter. For one heartbroken dog named Rocky, he can tell you all about the pain and suffering he has had to endure, since being dumped at the kill shelter by a heartless owner.
Instead of catching balls on a grassy knoll, and enjoying his dog toys, he makes a cold concrete slab a refuge wear the tears often flow each and every night. In spite of this setback in his life, Rocky, “the dog with a thousand watt smile” as shelter staff affectionately refer to him, is heartbroken but hopeful that someone might take a chance on him. Rocky’s favorite thing to do is smile, and is so calm and sweet, he has quickly become a staff favorite.
A Petharbor listing for Rocky reads,
“My name is Rocky and I am described as a neutered male, black and tan German Shepherd Dog. The shelter thinks I am about 5 years old.”
