Ask a dog what it feels like when his family moves away and leaves him behind with the trash? And as if no words are needed here to tell the story, this loyal dog patiently waited for his owner and refused to budge.
The heart wrenching photo of Boo began to circulate on social media Wednesday. The scene took place near Mount Clemens, Michigan. A photo on Facebook made the difference in Boo’s life. An animal advocate sharing Boo’s plight commented; her words could make even the most stoic cry:
“This picture absolutely breaks my heart, I am literally in tears. Meet Boo, this beautiful boy was left behind with the trash and belongings when the family moved out. He stayed right by their stuff and never left it, confused and lonely. He was rescued by Mike Diesel who saw him and cared for him, and the Detroit Youth and Dog Rescue a few days ago…”
It took Diesel more than 11-hours, with the added help of sausage McMuffins, to convince Boo there was a better life waiting. He is now safe; unfortunately Boo is heartworm positive and will need treatment. If anyone is interested in adopting him or donating to his care, contact email@example.com. Donations can also be made to the Groesbeck Animal Hospital at 586-463-7387.
