OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — A Oklahoma City man has been arrested and accused of gutting a dog with a knife.

The Oklahoma City Police Department reports they arrested 19-year-old Dallas Hicks Oct. 23 on a complaint of animal cruelty.

Police reports show officers responded to a home in the 1600 block of E. Park Place after the calling party stated Hicks had gutted a six-week-old pitbull with a 12-inch survival knife.

Officers made contact with Hicks who then allegedly led them to the puppy’s carcass wrapped in plastic under his bed at the home. The officer noted that the puppy had been disemboweled.

Hicks was then taken into custody and booked into the Oklahoma County Jail.
