Ronald Wilson, 65, from Miami, Florida, is in serious trouble after he was found to have neglected his two German shepherd pups, who were discovered in near starving conditions. Neighbors discovered the two dogs named Lady, and Thug in grave looking condition with missing teeth, mage, and infected eyes among other things.
Wilson was a decorated cop, who was at one time promoted to the highest level of enforcement when he was appointed Chief of Police of the Opa-locka Police Department. Wilson was fired from that position for an undisclosed reason, some 14 years ago.
Both Lady and Thug were taken to the Dizzy’s Second Chance Animal Rescue, where they are being treated medically for their conditions. Lady is said to to have had multiple surgeries, but has gained weight, and is stable. Thug on the other hand is in a bit more critical condition. He was found to have a bullet lodged in his stomach area and several broken bones. In spite of all of this, both Thug and Lady are expected to make a full recovery.
Wilson’s lawyer Sky Smith contends that he is innocent of the charges, and added that police are trying to defame an honorable man, due to personal grudges. Wilson is presently out on bail as he awaits a future court date.
