Heartbreaking Image of Sad Dog Abandoned on Philadelphia Balcony Causing Anger Online

On Facebook, an image of a sad dog living what one could call a pitiful existence is causing a storm of controversy, concern, and anger. Facebook user Lorena Wilson, who lives near the poor pup, captured the heartbreaking image below, along with the caption:

“This dog is constantly on this balcony at 4758 Oakmont st Philadelphia PA! Constantly!! This is a battle a group of people has been trying to bring attention to since July! This needs to be corrected. We have exhausted every resource possible. All we are ever told is “we are aware of the problem.” Well if you are aware of the problem and it is still occurring then something is seriously wrong with how things are being addressed! We were told this man had already received citations. He has not resolved this issue so why is this dog still suffering?”

AS you can judge from her frustration in the post, Ms. Wilson is more than upset with what is a complicated situation involving some sort of governing body that manages the building, and their inaction over the whole situation. No one is listening to her, and it is a shame that those in power, do not care about the welfare of the dog in question, who is clearly suffering from the conditions he is forced to live in.

Lorena says in another post about the situation,

“We were told this man had already received citations. He has not resolved this issue so why is this dog still suffering?”

To help this dog in need, you can call the ACCT in Philadelphia, and encourage them to do the right thing and remove the dog from this home. Their phone number is (267) 385-3800. Additionally, you can e-mail them at info@acctphilly.org. Please keep this dog in your thoughts and in your hearts.
