Life at the high kill San Bernardino Animal Shelter (SBAS) is no cake walk to write and say the least. For one, dogs in the shelter are given just days to be rescued or find forever homes, before hard decisions have to be made to free up kennel space. For one adorable shelter favorite known as Babowsky, he can tell you all you need to know about the politics of the SBAS. After years of loyalty and love showed to a heartless owner who gave up on him, the 7-year-old pup still smiles hopefully that one day, someone might take a chance on him.
After years of loyalty and love showed to a heartless owner who gave up on him, the 7-year-old pup still smiles, hopeful that one day someone might take a chance on him. The problem with that is there is no hope at the SBAS. Time is running out on Babowsky because after all, he is in an overcrowded shelter where vacant kennel space is as valuable as gold to a dog who faces a glib future.
A Petharbor listing for Babowsky reads,
“Hi, my name is Babowsky. I am a 7-year-old Box Mix and I am neutered. I am good with kids, and have no behavioral problems. I am a lover of life, looking for a second chance.”
If you or someone you know is interested in giving this precious pup the forever home he rightfully deserves, please call the San Bernardino Animal Shelter at (909) 384-1304 and reference the shelter ID #A499614.
