International terror group ISIS, desperate to hold onto thinning territory in their last major stronghold of Mosul, Iraq, is equipping more than 600 dogs with suicide vests, to fight Iraqi special forces trying to reclaim the city of 1 million inhabitants.
Fahmi Abbas, Lt. General of the Iraqi Special Forces Unit said:
“ISIS terrorists have equipped 600 dogs with bombs and want to send them to Iraqi Army forces and explode them by remote control.”
In the past 30 days, the terror group has conducted 100 suicide missions involving humans, most of which have been neutralised, thanks in part to heat seeking missile technology by the U.S. equipped Iraqi Army. ISIS, also known as ISIL (Islamic State of Levant and Iraq), have occupied Mosul for close to two years, imposing their strict interpretation of Islamic teachings to citizens held captive in a once bustling city. Abbas says that they have been made aware of the terror group’s new tactics, and are working carefully to diffuse such targets.
